Our Stylist Says

I love this grey bed frame for its sleek, contemporary look and practical storage solution. The open ottoman-style base makes it a great choice for modern interiors, especially in spaces where clever storage is essential. It works well in minimalist schemes thanks to its clean lines and neutral tone, but it can also complement softer, more eclectic bedrooms with textured textiles and layered bedding. For styling tips, consider pairing it with upholstered or textured headboards for added depth, and use bed linens in contrasting colours or patterns to create visual interest. Keeping bedding simple with neutral tones or muted colours will maintain an elegant feel, while adding cozy throws and pillows can bring in colour and personality. This piece is versatile and functional, making it a fantastic focal point in a well-organised, stylish bedroom.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
