A tidy way to make an organic statement. Our hand-woven jute basket is naturally brilliant at hiding clutter. Throw in anything from magazines and video games to toys or smalls. Or fill with faux foliage and you've created a natural show piece you can display anywhere. With 2 thick handles it's simple to carry from room to room. And it's foldable. So, it takes up little space when not being used. Wonderfully woven storage. Crafted using a natural jute braid stitch and same coloured threads, no two baskets are the same. Size H30, W30, D30cm. The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
