Description

The Habitat Faro Accent Chair gives you that relaxed spot where you can sit back and unwind after a long day. It's a low lounge design that works in your living room, bedroom or any corner that needs comfortable seating with a bit of character. The solid oak frame keeps it sturdy and supportive, while the thickly woven paper rope seat and backrest create a natural texture that's surprisingly comfortable. It'll suit one person nicely, so there's a cosy spot that's just yours. The natural oak finish works with most home styles, from modern to traditional. The wooden feet keep it stable and lift the frame slightly off the floor for easy cleaning underneath. The woven seat surface is firm enough for good support but gives a little when you settle in. It's lightweight at just over 9kg, so you can move it around when you're rearranging. The chair supports up to 100kg, that's suitable for most adults. Simple wipe-clean maintenance keeps it looking fresh. Self-assembly required, all fixings included. Covered by a two-year guarantee. Part of the Faro collection. Material: Wooden feet. About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
