Description

Room divider. Space provider. Our stand-alone retro look white shelving unit can be supplemented with extensions at a whim. Designed as a perfect partition to delineate room areas. Or to hug a wall so you can dress and display all your favourite items. With a beautifully grained finish it's an inspirational piece with plenty of potential.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this white shelving unit because of its versatile, modern design and extendable feature, which makes it adaptable to various spaces. It works particularly well in minimalist or contemporary interiors, providing a clean backdrop for colourful accessories, books, and decorative objects. Practical styling tips include balancing open and closed sections to keep the display visually interesting, and incorporating baskets or boxes in some compartments for tidy storage. Its neutral tone and expandable structure also make it suitable for use in living rooms, home offices, or bedrooms, helping personalise the space without overcrowding it.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
