Description

An adventure around the world. Feed the imagination of young explorers with our Canvas World Map. Each continent is captioned to show key species, wildlife and iconic geographical features so children can learn while they play. Secured and weighted by batons and with a rope cord, it's easy to hang and maintain. A gift that can make a world of difference to young minds. Help make their room an inspirational magical place with our collection of kids' furnishings.

Our Stylist Says

This map wall art is a versatile piece that works well in both contemporary and eclectic interiors, adding a dash of colour and global interest to any space. I love it because of its educational vibe, making it perfect for children’s rooms, home offices, or living spaces where a favourite travel theme or global perspective is appreciated. Practical styling tips include hanging it at eye level in a well-lit spot to maximise its visual impact, and pairing it with natural textures like wooden frames or woven accessories to enhance its earthy tones. It also pairs beautifully with other travel-themed decor or layered with framed photos and artwork for a personalised wall display.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
