Created in the Habitat design studio and woven on a hand loom in India, this rug provides a strong focal point for a room with its combination of horizontal, vertical and diamond shapes. This 100% cotton rug is soft underfoot yet hard-wearing. Exclusive to Habitat, its also available in a larger size and as a runner. Hand made. 100% wool. Spot clean only. Size L180, W120cm. The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
