Price History

Description

We're liking this striking faux plant. Distinctive silver polka dots and natural red under leaves, it's a stand out stunner. The Begonia Maculata, or spotty plant as we like to call it, is found in tropical rainforests. Ours is as beautiful as the real thing, but without the high maintenance. What's not to love. And it comes in its own glazed earth tones ceramic pot. Perfect to add calmness to your room. Psst! Rumour has it Christian Louboutin created his trademark red soles to mimic the undersides of the Begonia Maculata. Now that's style.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Habitat Eden Large Spotted plant for its striking foliage and realistic look, which adds a touch of nature without the fuss of maintenance. It’s particularly effective in contemporary, minimalist, or even boho interiors-where it can act as a focal point or complement existing greenery. For styling tips, consider placing it in a simple, textured pot or pairing it with neutral tones to highlight the pattern on the leaves. It works well on side tables, shelves, or as a centrepiece in a dining or living space. Because it’s artificial, it’s perfect for spaces with less natural light or areas where real plants might struggle to thrive.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
