A clearly impressive pendant light. A dimpled glass shade is suspended on a long fabric cord, from a flush chrome fitting. A wooden stopper, like a cork in a bottle, connects cable to bulb. Simple yet stunning. Seen through hammered glass, the bulb has a quirky image. Switch on and enjoy the shadow show. A fine design that really shines. Dimensions: Size H143, , Diameter 27cm. The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
