Description

Solid pine and designed to last, this detachable bunk bed is a sturdy and versatile choice your kids will love. It separates into 2 single beds so it's great for when your kids want a space of their own. In a classic style, this pine version has wooden tongue and groove head and footboards. As singles, the ground clearance is identical on both beds so they'll be the same height side by side. To split the bunk into 2 single beds, you will need to do a spot of reassembly, moving the longer legs to the headboards to make both beds the same height. Just follow the step-by-step instructions. Need mattresses? We know that getting good quality sleep is really important for keeping children healthy and happy. So take a look at our range of mattresses to find the best ones for your children. Just make sure they're no deeper than 16cms, for safety's sake. We've used natural sustainable pine for this bed, sourced from Scandinavia, with no harsh chemicals or lacquers added. So it's good for your family and good for the planet too. Part of the Detachable collection. Bunk:Single bed. Pine bed with a solid wood frame. Includes wooden slats. Self-assembly - 2 people recommended. If this product is over 60cm high it must be securely attached to the wall to prevent overturning. Ladder can be positioned either side of the bed. Our Stylist Says

I really like the Habitat bunk bed - it's practical and versatile, making it a great choice for busy children’s rooms. Its natural pine finish lends itself well to both Scandi-inspired interiors and more playful, colourful schemes. The detachable aspect is especially handy for adapting as your little ones grow or if you want to convert the space into two separate beds eventually. Styling tips include adding cosy, colourful bedding and layered cushions to create a inviting atmosphere, or pairing it with storage solutions underneath to optimise space. Overall, it works well in warm, neutral interiors or lively, patterned rooms, making it a flexible piece that can grow with your child's needs.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
