Description

Love your books? Show them off in style. These eye-catching, vibrant blue, abstract bookends are a superb example of modernist design. Made in durable resin, they're beautifully simple and very practical. Pop them on your bookshelf, mantlepiece or desk for a dash of colour and score some serious style points.

Our Stylist Says

I love this blue bookend for its bold yet simple design - it adds a lively splash of colour without overpowering a space. Its modern, minimalist shape makes it versatile, working well in contemporary, Scandinavian or eclectic interiors. Practical styling tips include pairing it with neutrally coloured books or stacking a few smaller titles on either side for a clean look. It’s also great for creating visual interest on open shelves or mantelpieces, helping to organise books while serving as a statement piece. Keep in mind, it’s equally effective in offices or living rooms - anywhere that benefits from a pop of colour combined with functional organisation.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
