An iconic piece. Classic and timeless, the Habitat Chesterfield 2-seater sofa boasts a scroll arm design with sumptuous deep buttoning on the back panel and arms. It's beautifully upholstered in top grain semi-aniline leather for a truly luxurious feel. It stands on real wood feet for the perfect finishing touch.
Our Stylist Says
I love this Chesterfield-style sofa for its timeless elegance and versatile appeal, making it a great statement piece in both classic and contemporary interiors. The black leather adds a touch of sophistication, while the tufted design and rolled arms give it a traditional charm. It works particularly well in both industrial-style spaces and more refined, luxe settings. For styling tips, consider pairing it with neutral or bold colour cushions to add personality, and keep surrounding furniture sleek and minimal to let the sofa stand out. Its practical nature means it’s durable and easy to maintain, making it a smart choice for everyday living in open-plan living rooms or cosy dens alike.

About Habitat
The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
Rapid Expansion & Legacy
Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.
The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.
Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.
Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.
Innovation & Collaboration
Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.
Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
