Description

Lounge in style with this Italian made Chester emerald green left-arm corner sofa, which features a slim profile and a feather and fibre seat cushions, for a classic and timeless look. Designed by Matthew Hilton for Habitat, the corner sofa offers flexibility in configuring the unit to fit your space with a left hand corner set up. The sofa is fully upholstered in a removable, luxurious velvet with dark stained feet.

Our Stylist Says

I love this Chester corner sofa for its bold emerald velvet finish, which makes it a statement piece that can elevate a variety of interiors. It works particularly well in modern, eclectic, or even traditional schemes when paired with contrasting textures or metallic accents. Due to its generous size and left-hand configuration, it’s perfect for open-plan living areas or large family rooms where comfort and socialising are priorities. Styling tips include adding patterned cushions or layered throws to soften the look, and placing it against neutral walls or with a statement rug to really make the colour pop. It’s versatile enough to work with both minimalist and more layered, cosy interiors, making it a true focal point.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
