Description

Lounge in style with this Italian made Chester teal blue left-arm corner sofa, which features a slim profile and a feather and fibre seat cushion, for a classic and timeless look. Designed by Matthew Hilton for Habitat, the corner sofa offers flexibility in configuring the unit to fit your space with a left hand corner set up. The sofa is fully upholstered in a removable, durable cover with oak stained feet.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Habitat Chester Left Corner sofa in teal for its bold colour and versatile shape. Its calm yet vibrant hue makes it a statement piece that can anchor both contemporary and more traditional interiors. This style is great for open-plan living or larger family rooms, providing ample seating while maintaining a cosy, inviting vibe. To style it effectively, consider pairing with neutral or soft patterned cushions to balance the colour and keep the look fresh. It works particularly well with natural materials like wood or rattan, and adding textured throws can introduce extra comfort. Its angular form lends itself nicely to creating layered, layered spaces with other seating or statement accessories.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
