Description

Our organic and tactile ceramic bud vase is a natural choice for your home. With a blend of contemporary lines, this little beauty works as a stand-alone sculpture or as a centrepiece for a pretty posy. Crafted by Portuguese artisans and finished with a reactive glaze in the kiln, it features a textured surface making each piece subtly unique. Size H12, W12, D12cm. Diameter 12cm.

Our Stylist Says

I love this vase for its simple yet tactile design, making it a versatile piece that adds subtle texture to both modern and more traditional interiors. The grey tone and carved detailing make it ideal for neutral palettes, but it can also work well as a statement piece within a coloured scheme. It’s perfect for holding fresh blooms or dried arrangements, and styling it on a sideboard, bookshelf, or bedside table will add a touch of understated elegance. For a contemporary look, try pairing it with minimalist accessories, while in a more eclectic setting, stacking it with other ceramics creates visual interest. Its size and shape make it adaptable for various spaces, from small tables to larger mantelpieces.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
