Description

A place for tired toes. Designed inhouse, the Habitat footstool makes the perfect pouffe. Match it with the Callie wingback chair or let it fly solo. With Scandi-look legs and a charocal tone, Callie adds both personality and comfort to your space. Give it a go, your feet will thank you.

Our Stylist Says

I really love the Habitat Callie in charcoal because it’s a practical yet stylish piece that works beautifully in various interiors. Its neutral tone makes it versatile, pairing well with both modern and Scandinavian schemes, as well as more eclectic spaces. The soft fabric and cosy size make it ideal for use as a footrest, extra seating, or even as a small side table when topped with a tray. For styling, try combining it with natural wood furniture and textured textiles to add warmth and texture, or position it beside a statement sofa for a balanced look. Its understated aesthetic means it’s a great staple that can adapt to changing styles over time.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
