Description

Brimming with retro charm. The Cabin Retreat Block shade is effortlessly cool. Featuring a green and white geometric design, it looks great placed in your hallway, bedroom or living space. For a splash of colour or to add texture to your decor, this vintage-inspired shade is the perfect solution. Made from durable polyester, this easy to hang shade will add impact in seconds.

Our Stylist Says

I love this shade for its fresh, outdoorsy feel, making it perfect for relaxed, nature-inspired interiors. The green and white pattern is versatile enough to work in both modern and retro setups, especially in casual living rooms or cosy reading nooks. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with similar earthy tones or adding natural textures like rattan or wood to enhance its cabin vibe. It’s a great choice for creating a cheerful yet calming light, especially when paired with simple, clean-lined lamps or used as a statement piece in a light-filled space. Keep surroundings minimal to let the pattern stand out, or complement it with other geometric or organic shapes for a cohesive look.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
