Description

The light fantastic. Meet Boyd. Our white glass and silver ceiling light has a classic globe design that emits a soft, flattering light. Line them and hang over your kitchen island for a trendy feature, or over the breakfast table for a seriously stylish coffee morning. Works on a dimmer switch so you can create the perfect atmosphere day or night.

Our Stylist Says

I love this pendant for its sleek combination of brass and glass, which offers a modern yet timeless look. It works particularly well in minimalist and contemporary interiors, adding a subtle touch of warmth thanks to the brass detailing. Practical styling tips include hanging it above a kitchen island or dining table to create focal points, or layering with other lighting in living spaces for a balanced ambiance. Keep the surrounding decor simple to let this piece stand out, and opt for warm bulb tones to enhance its inviting aesthetic.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
