Description
A contemporary update on a classic shape, the Italian-made Askem dusty rose velvet 2 seater sofa is generously proportioned with deep seat cushions, wide arms and a comfortable padded back. Perfect for families, the sofa is available in a variety of fabrics, from everyday to luxe, to suit the way you live, and a wide choice of colours. Getting a sofa into your home can sometimes be a bit of a squeeze, so remember to measure your space in advance, including door frames and tight bends.
Our Stylist Says
I love this velvet two-seater for its versatile colour and plush texture, making it a great statement piece in both contemporary and vintage-inspired interiors. The dusty rose hue adds warmth and softness, perfect for creating cosy living rooms or adding a pop of colour to neutral schemes. It works particularly well with muted tones like greys, beiges, and soft pastels, but can also be styled with richer jewel tones for a more luxe feel. Practical tips include pairing it with sleek metallic or wooden accessories, and layering with textured cushions and throws to enhance its tactile appeal. Keep the surrounding space uncluttered to let the sofa stand out, and consider floating it in the room to maximise its inviting charm.

The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
Rapid Expansion & Legacy
Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.
The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.
Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.
Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.
Innovation & Collaboration
Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.
Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
