Description

Like to eat well? You will with Ashwell. This flexible dining set comprises a table and 6 chairs. Compact for every day, it will happily seat 4 until you slide and unfold the butterfly extension. Then hey presto, a classic dining table for 6. Our table is veneered from top to bottom in an attractive light-wood grain. Chairs are fashionably high backed, with a soft, linen style neutral colour padded seat. Looks good, feels great.

Our Stylist Says

This dining set offers a versatile, timeless appeal with its Ashwell wood veneer table and classic oak chairs, making it a great choice for both traditional and contemporary interiors. I love how the natural wood tones bring warmth and a sense of ease to any space. It pairs well with neutral colour schemes for a calm, understated look, or can be styled with colourful or patterned accessories to add personality. Practical styling tips include layering with textured table runners, placing statement lighting above, or grouping around an area rug to define the dining zone. Its simplicity and durable construction make it ideal for family life, while still maintaining an elegant, understated aesthetic.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
