Description

Our hand-blown glass vase is exquisite and captivating. Each one is completely unique thanks to the craftsmen who have literally blown the blue stripes through the glass while it was being formed. Light, airy and perfect for light, wavy summer flower fronds or beautiful with fairy lights or marbles inside. An ideal wedding or birthday keepsake gift. Size H28.3, Diameter 16cm.

Our Stylist Says

I really like the Habitat art glass stripe vase for its clean, modern look with a subtle pop of colour. The blue stripes add visual interest without overwhelming a space, making it versatile for both contemporary and minimalist interiors. It works well as a standalone piece on a side table or mantle, or styled with fresh or faux flowers for added texture. Practical tips include pairing it with monochrome or neutral palettes to let the colours stand out, and placing it where natural light can enhance its transparency and colour accents. It’s a great option for adding a bit of colour and architectural shape to any room.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
