Misil is a bold blast of 70s modernism, straight from the Habitat archives. All sculptural lines and soft luxe glow. Three opal glass globes sit on a sleek black metal stem. This lamp is part lighting, part artwork. Place it on a sideboard, bedside or desk, anywhere that could use a little drama (and a bit more illumination). Habitat's archive collection heralds the return of much-loved designs from the 1960's to the early 2000's lovingly reimagined for modern homes by our in-house design studio. The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
