Hugely artisanal with exposed bolt detail and shapely spill-protection edges. Characterful side tables that double as perfect TV supper rests. Made from oak and oak veneer with a painted finish. The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
