Description

A distinctly different handblown glass vase. The semi-opaque alabaster style finish takes the classic cylinder shape to another level. Showing through the lace-like pattern even flower stems take on an ethereal beauty. An elegant vase that's pure quality. Size H25, W14.8, D14.8cm.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Habitat Alabaster Glass Vase for its clean, minimalist aesthetic that works well across a variety of interiors. Its clear, understated design makes it versatile-ideal for both contemporary and classic spaces. It’s perfect for showcasing simple floral arrangements or adding a touch of elegance when left empty as a sculptural piece. Practical styling tips include grouping it with other glass or metallic accents to create a cohesive look, or using it to balance out more colourful or textured decor. Its neutral tone allows it to blend seamlessly without overpowering other design elements, making it a handy piece for both everyday decoration and more refined displays.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
