Designer, Silvia Kamodyova has worked with our artisans in Portugal to create each hand painted statement piece in our exclusive Radica terracotta collection. Like this irregular handled vase. Uplifting, colourful and playful, Silvia's intuitive stokes in vibrant hues were inspired by the palette of the 1980s Habitat 'Living with Colour' catalogue. The movement and tactility through the bright brush marks and application of glaze are all synonymous with Silvia's joyful pottery. Part of the specially commissioned collection in celebration of Habitat's 60 years of British design. For Decorative use only. Clean with a soft dry cloth. Size H32, Diameter 23cm. About Habitat
The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
