Designed in-house by Will Hudson, an accomplished industrial designer based in Sheffield, the Nina side table exemplifies his commitment to reductive and honest design principles. Inspired by Habitat's "take-away furniture" of the 1970s, this solid FSC birch table pays homage to the flat pack revolution. Simple lines, minimal assembly, effortless. Part of the specially commissioned collection in celebration of Habitat's 60 years of British design. Part of the Habitat 60 collection. Size H 47, W 44, D 34cm. Made from birch. Weight 4.3kg. The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.
