Cormack, a furniture and product designer led by the colour and narrative of design, the modular Lucinda collection of garden furniture explores the forms of colour and the way material and finish influence a product's purpose. The slatted silhouette of this yellow metal chair filters light with dramatic effect, casting changing patterns that reflect the life cycle of a day. Mix and match with other pieces from the collection for an extra graphic dimension. Part of the specially commissioned collection in celebration of Habitat's 60 years of British design. The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
