Returning to Habitat with this exclusive design, Sebastian Conran's Hub ceiling pendant light brings together heritage and future with a blown-glass ribbed orb, simple brass ceiling rose and vibrant red woven cord. Creating a softly patterned ambient light, it has universal appeal for any room setting. Part of the specially commissioned collection in celebration of Habitat's 60 years of British design. The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
