Originally available in 5-6 colours, in both the table and floor lamp, Bobby was first introduced in early 2000. Evolving over the years, it has been multi coloured, fluorescent - there was even a 3 headed version. Now, in a palette of fresh brights, the Bobby floor lamp looks as new and contemporary as it did in its noughties heyday. Part of the specially commissioned collection in celebration of Habitat's 60 years of British design. Dimensions: Size H162.5, W22, D56.5cm. Diameter of base 22cm. Shade size H10, D14.5cm. The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
