Description

Shine bright. Our rust coloured shade creates a warm sunset glow for cosy evenings. Made from 100% linen, infuse your home with an organic, country feel. The perfect pop of autumnal colour for a living room or bedroom refresh. This beautifully textured drum shade has an understated elegance you won't want to live without.

Our Stylist Says

I love this 49cm linen drum shade in rust for its versatile, warm hue and clean, understated shape. It's perfect for creating a cosy yet elegant look, especially in neutral or earthy-toned interiors. This shade works well in both contemporary and Scandinavian-style spaces, adding a touch of warmth without overpowering the overall colour scheme. When styling, consider pairing it with wooden or metallic fittings to enhance its natural feel, and for practical use, it’s ideal over dining or side table lamps where you want to add a subtle colour pop. Keep the surrounding décor pared back to let the shade serve as a subtle statement piece.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
