To create the Gustave cordless lamp, Belgian architect-designer Vincent Van Duysele was inspired by the iconic table lamps of Austrian Adolf Loos, one of the most influential pioneers of the modern movement. The aluminium silhouette is extremely stripped down and simple. All the technical elements are concealed to perfect the refined, timeless aesthetic. Simply touch the lamp head to turn on, off or dim. Rechargeable thanks to its USB-C cable, included, its protection index of 54 means it can be used occasionally outdoors in dry weather. Despite its small size, thanks to a patented lens and special lighting diffusion technology, Gustave perfectly illuminates a wide area extending up to one metre through 360°, forming a ring with a shaded centre: the perfect situation, for example, for a dining table set in a restaurant. In essence, Gustave guarantees excellent comfort, absence of glare, even light distribution and extremely high performance in terms of lux. Designed as the perfect companion during a cosy dinner, the Gustave table lamp is really versatile, whether it’s in a restaurant or at home. Originally designed for the hotel industry, this lamp takes its name from Monsieur Gustave H., main character in the film Grand Budapest Hotel by Wes Anderson. All components of the Gustave lamp are replaceable to extend its life and separately recyclable.
