Description
A reproduction print of the 'The Dancer', originally produced by Austrian artist Gustav Klimt between 1917-1918. It features a woman wearing a floral dress depicted against an embellished background that imitates Japanese woodblock printing. Although Klimt has included highly ornate motifs, he has also depicted the bare torso of the woman, grounding the painting in the fine art tradition of the female form. This archival giclee print has a cotton core mount in a handmade and hand-finished solid ash wood frame. Made in the UK by museum specialists and printed on heavyweight, matt-smooth fine art paper, it's ready to hang on your wall. As the leading Viennese painter of the early 20th century, Gustav Klimt (1862 -1918) influenced, amongst others, Egon Schiele. Klimt is most known for his sensuous, highly decorative portraits but he also created richly verdant landscapes.
