Description

The Gus Embossed Ceramic Table Lamp adds a beautiful minimalism to your home, matching any interior style you place it in. The ceramic body is finished in a clean, white tone, creating an open, soft environment in your room, and accenting the pale, white shade perfectly. The shade diffuses the light within into a soft, warm glow that spreads a relaxing atmosphere through your room. This Lamp can be effectively styled well in any home, especially on a bedside table or perhaps a side table in the living room.

Our Stylist Says

I love this lamp because of its clean, understated design and textured ceramic finish, which adds subtle visual interest without overwhelming a space. It works particularly well in contemporary and minimalist interiors, where its neutral colour can blend seamlessly, but it can also elevate more traditional schemes with its classic silhouette. Practical styling tips include placing it on side tables or consoles to create cosy reading corners or pairing it with other white or neutral accessories for a cohesive look. Because of its versatile design, it can work well in living rooms, bedrooms, or even home offices, adding both style and functional lighting without fuss.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
