Description
The Grasshopper floor lamp from the Danish brand Gubi is the most iconic piece of design, created by Greta Grossman during the1940's. She was inspired by the European Modernism and her designs have been exhibited at several famous museums such as MoMa in New York and The National Museum in Stockholm. The Grasshopper is a true classics and with its elegant shape it is extremely decorative next to your armchair or couch. Goes great together with other items from Gubi's collection.
Our Stylist Says
I love this lamp for its sleek, modern silhouette and understated colour. The blue-grey tone offers a subtle pop of colour that works particularly well in contemporary or Scandinavian-inspired interiors, adding a touch of softness without overwhelming the space. It’s versatile enough to sit in living rooms, home offices, or even bedrooms, creating a cosy yet functional light source. For styling, try pairing it with minimalist furniture and layered textures, such as plush rugs or woven throws, to highlight its clean lines. Practical tip: position it near seating areas where adjustable lighting is beneficial, making it both a design statement and a useful addition to your space.
