I’m a fan of this grey-and-white Montessori bed for its low-to-the-floor design, which encourages little ones to climb in and out safely and fosters independence. Its clean lines and muted hues make it a natural fit for Scandi, minimalist or modern farmhouse nurseries and children’s rooms.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
