Description

Create a fun and magical space for your little ones with this bunk bed from Great Little Trading Co. The sturdy bed comes with star-covered curtains that will give your child's bedroom a playful touch. Easy to fit and takedown, they cover three sides of the bed and are the perfect fit for this bed GLTC Paddington Mid Sleeper Bed (sold separately) as well. The curtains are made from 100% washable cotton to ensure they can be kept clean and fresh at all times. This sturdy and space-saving bunk bed is built from high-quality MDF in a painted finish. The corners of the frame are rounded which creates a softer profile and the staircase is located in the centre. Solid pine slats in the base provide a firmer foundation for mattresses, which can be purchased separately. Good to know This bunk bed has been tested to British Standards BS EN: 747. It's suitable for children 4 years+ on the bottom bunk and 6 years+ on the top bunk. The compatible single mattress (L190 x W90cm) should have a maximum height of 15cm. Want to see it first? Our Stylist Says

The Paddington bunk is a practical addition to any child's room, especially in spaces where maximise functionality is key. I love how the grey finish provides a neutral backdrop, making it versatile for both modern and traditional interiors. It works particularly well in Scandinavian-inspired bedrooms, where clean lines and muted tones are prevalent, but it can also add a touch of contemporary charm in more eclectic spaces. When styling, consider keeping the bedding simple and adding colourful textiles or playful accessories to bring character. Pairing with matching star curtains creates a cohesive and cosy feel that can transition easily as your little one grows. Practical tips include incorporating under-bed storage for toys or clothes to keep the room tidy and using wall-mounted shelves around to utilise vertical space for books and decorations.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
