Description
The Graphium coffee table is an exceptional piece. The incredibly thin marble top is divided into two fluidly connected parts. This symmetrical construction adorned with delicate coloured marbling reminds us of the wings of a tropical butterfly. The designers from the Italian studio Carcia Combini wanted to combine two apparently opposite elements: the lightness of a flapping wing and the materiality of stone. The table top has a thin slot running through it: this graphic detail brings character to the table. The lacquered steel base contains organic shapes. Making the Graphium coffee table requires outstanding know-how. The simple, clean lines highlight the exceptional marble work. The pure design, perfect lines and proportions give this coffee table an aesthetic both strong and restrained. Very elegant, this coffee table will look great in both modern and classic interiors. Studio Garcia Cumini explains: “We imagined what we like to call a formal and partially conceptual oxymoron’’. MAINTENANCE. Marble is a fragile stone, sensitive to stains and requiring special care. Clean stains immediately with soapy water, then wipe with a dry cloth. Never use acid or chemical products.
