I’m a fan of this grey velvet swivel chair for its blend of comfort and contemporary edge - the quilted back adds subtle texture, while the swivel base brings practicality to everyday dining. It works equally well in a minimalist Scandi scheme (pair with pale timber and crisp whites) or a moody, industrial loft (contrast against exposed brick and black metal accents). For styling, cluster a set of four around a round table to encourage conversation, and soften the look with a neutral wool rug underneath. Add a couple of brushed-metal accessories or a low-sideboard in charcoal to tie the tones together.

Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores".
