Description

These striking scallop-edged lampshades have been skillfully handmade in India using the traditional ikat technique, where the warp is dyed or printed before being woven. This creates a beautifully unique pattern in rippling raspberry tones. Available in multiple sizes to suit any table lamp, floor lamp or ceiling light.

Our Stylist Says

I love this raspberry ikat scallop lampshade for its bold yet versatile pattern, which can add a lively pop of colour to both modern and eclectic interiors. Its size makes it ideal for larger lamps or statement side lamps, instantly elevating the look of a classic or bohemian space. For styling, consider pairing it with natural materials like wood or rattan to highlight its earthy vibrancy, or use it as an accent in neutral rooms to create a focal point. Practical tips include balancing its eye-catching design with more subdued accessories and ensuring the lighting creates a warm, inviting glow that complements the dynamic pattern. This piece works particularly well in living rooms, bedrooms, or even a cosy reading nook.

About Graham & Green

Founded in 1974, Graham & Green are a family business that started in Notting Hill, and have many pieces that bring touch of individuality and character to any space.

The Inception of a Lifestyle Brand

In 1974, Antonia started Graham & Green after a trip to India. She wanted to be independent and worked with traders from different countries. This led her to create the UK's first 'lifestyle' brand, bringing unique home items from places like India, Morocco, and Europe.

The first Graham & Green store opened in Notting Hill in 1974, showcasing Antonia's special collection of items from around the world. You can still visit this original store on Elgin Crescent today.

Evolution through Generations

Graham & Green has a rich history full of important moments. In 1980, they started creating hand-drawn mail-order catalogues to share their store's charm with more people.

They opened a new store in Primrose Hill in 1994, reflecting the brand's playful and free nature.

Antonia's son, Jamie, took a creative lead in 1998. Having studied at Kingston University, he began designing unique furniture collections, shifting Graham & Green from not only importing items but also creating them.

Then, in 1999, Graham & Green launched their first website, allowing people all across the UK to shop their collections online.

Milestones and Memories

Over time, Graham & Green has marked its journey with special products, like unique Birthday items with lovebird designs. After Antonia led the brand for 37 years, Jamie and Lou took over, pushing Graham & Green to grow even more.

They opened big stores in Bayswater and Bath in 2016. By 2018, Graham & Green updated their website to keep it modern and stylish for their customers.
