Swedish artist and designer Josefin Holmgren studies various forms and expressions, introducing bold colours and clean silhouettes. Each of her experimentations are based on her different projects, for instance, the Grain project, which records Holmgren's experience as she entered the world of motherhood.
I really like this piece because of its minimalistic style and clean white frame, which makes it quite versatile. It suits contemporary interiors especially well, but can also add a fresh, airy touch to more eclectic or Scandi-inspired spaces. For styling, I’d suggest pairing it with other monochrome or neutral artworks to keep the look cohesive, or use it as a statement piece on a gallery wall with similar minimal designs. It works well in living rooms, bedrooms, or even home offices, particularly when you want to create a calm, uncluttered environment. To maximise impact, hang it at eye level and consider layering with textured or patterned accessories nearby for a balanced look.
