I’m a fan of this Gora sideboard for its clean, understated silhouette and the striking black marble-effect handle that gives a nod to contemporary style without shouting for attention. At 180 cm wide, it’s ideal for a spacious hallway or behind a sofa in an open-plan living area, offering discreet storage for tableware, magazines or media remotes.
It suits modern, Scandi-inspired or monochrome interiors especially well. To style it, keep the top surface uncluttered - perhaps a single statement lamp at one end, a low vase of foliage in the middle and a small stack of coffee-table books at the other. In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
