Description

The perfect nursery lampshade, this Polka Dot Ceiling Light Shade is ideal for your child's bedroom. This adorable light shade comes in a baby pink colour and features small white polka dots for a gorgeous pastel aesthetic. Lampshades are ideal for diffusing a soft illumination into a room, ensuring that the light isn't too bright or harsh, which allows for a calming environment.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this pink polka dot ceiling light for adding a playful yet soft touch to a space. It works particularly well in children's bedrooms, nurseries, or a cosy reading nook where a lighthearted, feminine vibe is desired. The polka dots lend a charming character that stops it from feeling too juvenile, making it versatile for eclectic or vintage-inspired interiors as well. Practical styling tips include pairing it with simple, muted furniture to let the shade stand out or incorporating matching accessories like pastel cushions or soft furnishings to create a cohesive, gentle colour palette. Its easy fit design makes it straightforward to install, and the pink hue injects a sense of warmth and cheerfulness into a room, making it an eye-catching yet understated choice.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
