Description

Perfect for pink bedrooms and lighter colour schemes, the Whirly Ceiling Light comes in a pastel pink finish. This ceiling light features a flush design, meaning that it is ideal for low ceiling due to it's minimal drop height. With an abstract yet simplistic look, this ceiling flush is ideal for older children's bedrooms.

Our Stylist Says

I love this pink ceiling light for its playful yet contemporary design, making it a great statement piece in a variety of interiors. It works particularly well in modern, youthful spaces like kids’ bedrooms, playful living rooms, or even stylish home offices that benefit from a pop of colour. Its soft pink hue offers a subtle touch of femininity and warmth, which can be complemented with neutral or pastel palettes. For practical styling, consider pairing it with minimalistic or Scandinavian decor to let the light fixture stand out, and position it centrally in a room to maximise impact. Its sculptural, swirling form adds interest without overwhelming, making it both functional and a decorative feature in the space.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
