Description

Add a fun and abstract look to any room with the Whirly Ceiling Light. This light comes in a blue finish, allowing it to match perfectly with blue rooms and darker colour schemes. It also features a simplistic design which looks perfect in older children's rooms.

Our Stylist Says

I love this funky blue ceiling light - it’s a great way to add a playful element to modern or contemporary interiors. Its sculptural design makes it a statement piece while still being functional. The vibrant blue finish makes it ideal for spaces like kids' rooms, creative studios, or even a bold feature in a minimalist living room. When styling with this light, consider pairing it with neutral or monochrome walls to let it stand out, or complement it with other blue accents for a cohesive look. Practical tips include hanging it in areas where the distinctive shape can be appreciated fully, such as over dining tables or seating areas, and ensuring the surrounding decor stays relatively simple so the fixture remains the focal point.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
