Description

Novelty retro lighting styles for children's rooms with the Rocket Table Lamp. This table light has a blue finish that is complemented by white outline accents and integrated LEDs dotted about for a soft ambient light. As this kid's lamp is also battery operated, it is ideal for bedside tables as there is no need for messy wires.

Our Stylist Says

I love this space rocket lamp for its playful yet sleek design, making it a fun statement piece in a variety of interiors. The bright blue adds a pop of colour, ideal for children’s rooms, play spaces, or even a quirky touch in more modern or eclectic living areas. When styling, consider pairing it with neutral or minimalist decor to let the lamp stand out, or create a themed kids' space with coordinating accessories. Practical tips include using it as a bedside table lamp for soft ambient light or as an accent on a shelf for added personality. Its fun design invites creativity, making it both a functional and visually appealing choice.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
