Description

Incorporate a fun space theme into your child's bedroom with the Rocket Ceiling Light. This light features a unique rocket design that is finished in blue and red. With an open cage-type design, this light is guaranteed to project a bright light into the room that is ideal for playrooms.

Our Stylist Says

This rocket-inspired light brings a playful yet modern touch to any space, especially in children’s bedrooms or creative interiors. I love how its bold blue and red colours make a statement while keeping the design fun and functional. It works particularly well in interiors with a retro or nautical vibe, or as a quirky focal point in a contemporary setting. For styling, consider pairing it with minimalist furniture to let the light’s colour and form take centre stage, and keep the ceiling height in mind-this pendant’s design suits rooms with enough space for it to hang clearly without overwhelming. It’s also a great pick for adding a pop of colour in neutral schemes, giving a room an instant lift with minimal effort.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
