Description

Colourful novelty lighting styles for children's rooms with the Rainbow Table Light. This battery-operated table lamp is multicoloured with a white outline for a fun aesthetic. It is also made of wood with LEDs dotted about the design for a retro fair-ground style appearance.

Our Stylist Says

I love this rainbow lamp because of its playful yet versatile design, making it a great feature in both children's rooms and more eclectic living spaces. Its soft glow and colourful lights add a cosy, inviting atmosphere, perfect for creating a welcoming vibe. It works particularly well in modern or Scandinavian-inspired interiors where clean lines and simple colour palettes can be complemented by the subtle pop of colour from this piece. Practical styling tips include placing it on a bedside table or shelf to inject colour and interest without overpowering the space. It’s also a great statement piece in a nursery, or as a fun accent in communal living areas that could benefit from a touch of colour and lighthearted charm.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
