Price History

Description

Perfect for bedside tables, the Polka Dot Table Light is ideal for children's nurseries. This table lamp features cream coloured traditional stand and a polka dot design for a charming appearance. It also comes with a pink light shade, making it ideal for pink bedrooms and lighter colour schemes.

Our Stylist Says

I love this spotty table lamp because it combines playful pattern with a versatile white finish, making it an easy addition to various interiors. It works particularly well in cosy schemes like scandi, vintage, or shabby chic, where its soft glow can add warmth and a touch of whimsy. Practical styling tips include placing it on bedside tables to add a gentle ambient light or as an accent on a sideboard in a living space. Pairing it with plain, neutral shades or bedding allows the polka dots to stand out without feeling overwhelming, keeping your space looking fresh and lively.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
