Description

Incorporate an eye catching space theme into your child's bedroom or playroom with the Outer Space Table Lamp. This table lamp comes with a multicoloured planets and rockets design for a fun aesthetic. It also looks ideal when styled on any bedside table, diffusing a warm glow into the room.

Our Stylist Says

I love the space-themed vibe of this little lamp-its vibrant blue with playful planetary and rocket motifs makes it a fun statement piece. It works particularly well in children’s bedrooms or creative spaces where it can add a touch of whimsy. For styling, try pairing it with minimalist, neutral-toned furniture to let the lamp stand out, or in a quirky corner to create an engaging focal point. Practical tips include placing it on a bedside table or a desk, where its soft illumination can serve both functional and decorative purposes. Its bold colour and playful design make it versatile for adding personality to both modern and eclectic interiors.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
