Description

Add a fun look to your child's bedroom or playroom with the Larger Feather Shade. This light shade is covered in a plethora of fluffy white feather, making it soft and child-friendly. Easy fit shades are perfect for adding a quick DIY revamp to a room as there is no electrician required to fit it.

Our Stylist Says

I love this large feather ceiling shade for its playful yet sophisticated look, making it an eye-catching statement piece. It works especially well in contemporary, boho, or eclectic interiors where a touch of texture and softness is desired. For styling, consider pairing it with minimalist or neutral decor to let the unique feathers stand out, or incorporate other natural textures for a cohesive look. Practical tips include ensuring enough clearance for its size in lower-ceilinged rooms, and using warm, soft bulbs to enhance the cosy, inviting atmosphere this shade creates. It’s perfect for living rooms, bedrooms, or dressing areas looking to add an element of fun without compromising style.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
