Description

Discover the Navy Flush Ceiling Light, and get the ideal fitting to match with blue rooms and darker colour schemes. This kid's ceiling light features a simplistic cylindrical design, meaning that it is ideal for updating children's bedroom light fittings. Flush light fittings are also ideal for low ceilings as they don't hang very low and don't take up much space.

Our Stylist Says

I love this navy ceiling light for its bold colour and contemporary silhouette, which can add a surprising pop of colour to a neutral space. It works particularly well in modern or minimalist interiors, where its clean shape can stand out without overpowering the room. Styling tips include pairing it with soft grey or white walls to highlight the navy, and layering with metallic accents for a chic, updated look. For practical placement, it’s ideal in living rooms or bedrooms where you want a statement piece that still offers good ambient lighting. Its versatile colour makes it easy to incorporate into various colour schemes, making it a smart choice for adding a touch of modern elegance.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
